About the Founder:
Jacob Cedergreen
Jacob has spent over 25 years in leadership roles across major Health Plan, PBM and Health Services organizations, including Elevance Health, Transcarent, Cigna, Express Scripts and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He has experienced the US Healthcare system through financial, operational, market-facing and product development roles, all with the goal of improving healthcare cost and quality for the consumer. One thing that has become clear is that patients have grown more frustrated and less informed, about how the system works and how much healthcare actually costs. Jacob has founded Health Accountant to help create informed healthcare consumers, starting with medical bills.

Health Accountant is positioned as a trusted service platform to organize, reduce and pay consumer medical bills. The service platform will result in the creation of a secure and confidential electronic dataset of personal medical claim details.
